A Family Nurse Practitioner and for the past 22 years, Mr. Amiri offered care services for patients in the Intensive Care Unit, ICU Step Down, Medical Surgical, Orthopedic, Pediatric, Women Services, Rehabilitation, and Recovery Units at the Medical City Plano. His experience in the medical field including assisted living made him acquire natural abilities and traits that make him the best match for working with the residents.

Mr. Amiri believes that, if you are kind, compassionate, and have a heart for helping others, these outstanding qualities brightens up our residents’ lives. These qualities lay the foundation to establish a deep relationship with the residents. He was working at CVS Minute clinic as a provider diagnosing, treating common illnesses, injuries, skin conditions, administering vaccinations, performing screenings and physicals and writing prescriptions when medical appropriate.

He feels that caring for residents requires humor, patience, a good-natured approach, and a gentle approach in life. We consider our compassion and commitment to our residents as necessities rather than luxuries. The presence and smiles of the residents bring joy to us.

Mr. Amiri holds an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Nursing from Collin College, a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Doctorate Degree from Walden University.

A Licensed Vocational Nurse with more than 8 years working experience in a rehabilitation facility, helping residents with medication administration, activities of daily living, dressing changes and addressing cardiovascular, respiratory, neurologic, endocrine, vascular, genitourinary, neuromuscular, and orthopedic needs of her residents.

Ms. Zephania believes that compassion is rewarding. We must be committed to strengthening compassion and self-love within ourselves, so as to also assist our residents to do the same. She is dedicated to treating patients with respect, love, and integrity. This experience taught her that compassion is more than being empathetic to someone for a few minutes or hours.

She believes in: (1) Listening. She tries to listen, not to create replies in her mind; (2) Responding to emotion, not to the real words. She opens up and trusts her residents; (3) She thinks of the resident as the whole person, not just a number; and (4) She always puts herself in her residents’ situation mentally. With these qualities, Ms. Zephania’s compassion flows deeper into her heart and mind.
